Crack, Spall and Popout Repair
Cracks, popouts and spalling concrete can cause concrete pieces to fall at any given moment. This is a huge safety concern. These areas will also continue taking damage from the elements, deteriorating the concrete and rebar further if not repaired. By routing out the cracks and applying a polyurethane sealant, this will keep water from migrating into the cracks, preserving the concrete and rebar. Popouts and spalled surface areas will be cut or chipped out, exposed rebar will be cleaned and primed. The area will then be repaired with a high strength non shrink grout.
Concrete Hopper Installation and Concrete Hopper Repair
We can install new hopper floors with different types of sloped configurations, depending on your material discharge needs. New hoppers with modified sloping can reduce the dangers of personnel gaining entry when needing to be cleaned out. We can also resurface existing hoppers if they are damaged, or if you are wanting to modify the existing hopper slope.
Shotcrete/Gunite Silo Lining and Rupture Repair
Age, loading and unloading, as well as other structural factors can cause a concrete silo to show signs of stress. In some instances, may even cause a rupture. By installing rebar over the interior walls of the silo, then spraying shotcrete or gunite over this, it will reinforce the silo allowing it to be used for the demands of your operational needs. Ruptures can be repaired by adding new rebar and using the shotcrete or gunite process.
Larger Manway Installation
Most silos are constructed with manways that allow a person to enter for maintenance purposes. Some older silos were constructed with smaller manways, typically around 18" in diameter. This small size can make entry and exit more difficult, as well as be a hindrance for emergency rescue. We can install larger manways to eliminate these issues.
Blasting/Coatings/ Sign Painting
Blasting/Coatings: In concrete silos, water can migrate through cracks and cold joints causing product to hang up or become damaged. Steel silos will begin to show signs of rust or water migrating through seams, causing the same issues. Abrasive blasting and/or high pressure washing and coating can keep this from happening.
Silo & Sign Painting: We offer exterior silo painting as well as high altitude sign or logo painting.
Roof Coatings/ Roof Shoring/Roof Repair
Roof Coating: Water ponding issues, water leaking through, deteriorated roof coatings and concrete surfaces are all signs of needing a roof coating installed. All these areas will be repaired and an elastomeric roof coating system installed. Upon request, granules can be applied to provide a non-slip surface.
Roof Shoring & Repair: There are a number of factors that indicate roof structure failure. Let us take a look and discuss with you the appropriate method of repair.
Silo Inspections
We offer exterior and interior inspection services to provide a more in-depth analysis of possible issues. This may include methods such as rebar placement scanning, use of a drop in camera, and confined space entry. Give us a call or email to discuss what we can do to meet your potential needs.
David Gaspar started Elevated Restorations in 2025. David has worked in this specific type of construction for the past 25 years. Having worked much of this time out in the field learning, understanding concrete silo failure and proper repair methods. He has physically worked on projects with the crews. Teamed up with structural engineers and large agricultural company personnel, managing large construction projects. Received the proper Osha training, understanding rules and proper safety procedures repairing these structures, while providing the safety training out in the field to our employees.
